What I Learned from National Poetry Writing Month

1. Writing a poem every day is challenging.
2. When you're writing poetry about your life, it's difficult to not get angsty.
3. There are a lot of different forms to poems and so it was fun to experiment this month.
4. Am I super great at poetry?  No.

But just because I'm not super great at poetry doesn't mean I won't try this challenge again next year.  In fact, I think I definitely will!  I am proud of some of my poems this month and it felt really good to focus on writing in a different way.

Take care,
