How I'm Tracking My Blog Post Ideas in 2018

Hello friends! This is a blog post that I started to write back in January but I finished writing this month (April). It's been a busy couple of months and I haven't been as focused on my blog as I have been in the past. Oops! But that's one of the great things about life. I've found that I focus on different parts of my business from time to time and that's fine. It's al about give and take.

So today I'm going to be sharing how I use Evernote to keep track of my different blog post ideas.  This should be no surprise because I use Evernote to track pretty much everything in my life! Haha Here's an example of my tags.

See what I mean? I love categorizing everything in Evernote because since I've signed up for premium I can access it on all my devices: Phone, iPad, Personal Computer, & my Work Computer.

But anyway, here is how I organized things when I decided to start keeping track of my ideas for blog content in Evernote.

1. I created a notebook called Ideas for My Blog

I created a notebook to put all of my blog notes in because it felt more like a real notebook. Haha. It's also easily accessible because I can just go to my notebooks on the lefthand side and then double click to get to my different notes.

2. I have a different note set up for each category on my blog

Some of the most popular blog categories that I write in are about reading, writing, creativity, frugal living, organization, journaling, and more. I have notes set up for each of those categories where I can free write and make bulleted lists of my ideas.

3. Check off my ideas as I use them

I know it's hard to make out in the above screenshot, but I also like that I can make check boxes to check off my ideas as I use them. It helps me keep track of what content I have yet to write. That was always one of my favorite things when I kept physical notebooks and bullet journals and I love that I can do it on my computer as well.

How do you keep track of your blog content ideas?

Yours truly,
Marian Elizabeth
to keep up to date with all my latest ramblings! :)
